Project Overview

Digital Bridge had outgrown its previous offices and decided to move to the Bright building on the other side of Manchester Science Park, which provided them with more space.

The Bright building has exposed concrete soffits and metal ventilation ducts which we complemented with bright and bold colours that stand out against the concrete. We created a team group area with bleacher seating, a variety of meeting spaces and a team briefing area with a wall of stools in the open-plan. Additionally, we included an open-plan kitchen, several meeting rooms, and offices, as well as a centralised area of workstations. This energetic digital design business has found a perfect new home in Manchester.

It was a great commercial design project for us to work on!

BDP designed this cutting-edge building in 2017, with an excellent BREEAM rating and Shelia Bird Studio handled the interior design.

Design Challenges

The large open plan and additional team meeting spaces felt segregated, so it was our job to bring a sense of cohesiveness into the design and create better flow and circulation.
